“Education is a form of emancipation according to the Zapatistas in their "Escuelita de la Libertad." The basis of emancipation as a model of social transformation where dignity is the center of the problem to be solved and worked on. A new child is shaping, he/she/they learn(s) to look to the horizon, to imagine a future, and to rebuild in the inheritance of adults. The light that illuminates the horizon is the dignity that the child shares with other children. This is a promise shared with the Montessori children.” - Judith Pedroza
