Our Partners
  • Authentic Institute of Montessori

We have forged a partnership with the Authentic Institute of Montessori (AIM) to help support increased accessibility to Montessori resources and training to our entire global community of Black educators and parents. AIM has a particular focus on making Montessori training more accessible for aspiring Montessori educators from around the world, offering in-person and hybrid options for all of their training courses, as well as countless free resources to their alumni. Their certification programs are MACTE-accredited and they have resources for educators, school leaders, and parents alike.

With this partnership, BMEF scholarship recipients will receive free access to relevant courses, and the entire BMEF community will receive a 50% discount on their entire catalogue of courses.

  • Nigeria Peace Art Competition

Dr. Montessori often emphasized Peace as being an educational responsibility. To this day, Peace Education continues to be of upmost importance, and we are grateful for this pedagogy pushing it forward across the world, especially during these turbulent times.

In collaboration with IPGI, Idimuwen Peace and Governance Initiative in Nigeria, we sponsored a Nigeria-focused Peace Art Competition for children between the ages of 8-10 in Nigeria. The competition aimed to build capacity, raise awareness, and foster conversation with children on peace, conflict, and meaningful coexistence. Participants created art in the form of a painting/drawing that depicts the theme, which for this
year was: Unity in Diversity. The competition culminated on Sep 21, the International Day of Peace.

Copies of the artwork will soon be available for purchase for our BMEF community for a limited time. A percentage of the proceeds will go toward the educational fund for those artists.
